After School Enrichment
Each year, the PTA searches for a variety of fun and educational after school enrichment programs. These programs are optional and families will have to pay for them out of pocket. If you have an idea for an after school program you would like us to look into, please send us a message via the form at the bottom of the page.

AHES Track & Field Team
Our Track & Field team will train every Wednesday in preparation of the OUSD Carnival of Champions, a district-wide track & field competition open to all 3rd-6th graders regardless of their experience. Coach Kevin will be teaching them skills including the 200M to 1500M run, standing long jump, and football throw.
Grades: 3rd - 6th
Cost: $20 (includes team shirt)
When: Wednesdays @ 12:30 - 1:30 pm

PAE presents Weird & Wacky Science
Students learn just how wacky science can be in this engaging class! Each week features cool, hands-on experiments based on concepts such as growing amazing crystals, magnetism, static electricity, and much more. Scientists will explore the scientific method in a whole new way!
Grades: K - 6th

PAE presents Chess Club
We introduce chess to students in a fun and exciting way! We teach students to play chess and help them succeed in school by stimulating their problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Learn strategies, defenses, and winning moves and participate in a class tournament towards the end of the session to compete for trophies and other chess prizes!
Grades: K - 6th

PAE presents Creative Sculpture
Students learn how to make figurines, mosaics, multi-media sculptures, and more while exploring the work of famous sculptors such as Jeffrey Koons, Takashi Murakami, and Walter Furlan! This class teaches the principles of sculpture and allows students to experiment with various media in a fun, creative, and engaging environment!
Grades: K- 6th

Parker-Anderson Enrichment (PAE) Disclaimers
Supervision for lower grades provided from 2:10 - 2:40pm.
No cash/check payments will be accepted. All enrollments must be done online.
Classes will be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met by the deadline.
All students will meet the instructor at the lunch benches and be walked over to the classroom each week. After class, students will be either sent back to afterschool care or walked to the parking lot for parent pick up.
