Fall Festival (Boo Fest)

Bring the whole family along to celebrate the spookiest season of all at our annual Fall Festival! Kids (and adults!) are encouraged to come in costumes, but please leave any weapon costume accessories at home.

We Need Candy Donations!

Candy Drop-Off: Now through Oct. 23

We need donated candy and lots of it! Please consider donating a bag of candy or non-candy items (for children with allergies) for the Trunk-or-Treat event! Your child can bring unopened bags of candy or non-candy goodies to their teacher, or you can drop it off at the front office. We appreciate all donations!

The AHES Library Presents:
The Literary Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Details will be announced in the Fall.

Entries will be judged for their creative use of materials and how well it relates to the book. Winners are chosen by teachers who will vote without knowing who each pumpkin belongs to! Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

  • Pumpkin must be decorated as a character from a BOOK.

  • No carved pumpkins, regardless if pumpkins are real or fake.

  • Provide an index card with your name, grade and the name of your book and author. Keep this under your pumpkin to remain anonymous!

Pumpkins can be dropped off in the school office for display in the library.

  • Trunk-or-Treat Cars Info

    CAMPUS ENTRY: The campus will be open to start receiving cars @ 3:30pm. Please enter through the gates next to the Day Care building. PLEASE proceed with EXTREME caution, as there will be children on campus still attending After School Care.

    POWER: There will NOT be any power available for your trunk. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

    PARKING: We will be lining the cars up side by side with the trunks facing the MPR and the front of the cars facing the hill, along the basketball courts. We will be meeting you as you arrive to assist with positioning of vehicles to maximize space. If you wish to be near a specific trunk, we completely understand that and it is our goal for families to be able to enjoy this trunk or treat activity together with friends! PLEASE kindly arrange to arrive at the blacktop together with your cars so you can be positioned next to each other... it is difficult to make efforts to safely fit cars in between others once we begin the line up process. Thank you!

    CANDY: We provide all the candy! A BIG thanks goes out to all the AHES families for donating bags of candy! We will have volunteers continuously keeping you stocked throughout the night!

    COMFORT: We encourage you to bring chairs to take a load off as you work hard passing out candy to all our ghosts and goblins! And there will be LOTS of food and drink options at the event available to keep you energized!

  • Cake Walk Info

    The Cake Walk is an event that is traditionally put on by the 4th grade class to raise money towards 6th grade graduation activities. Cakes or cupcakes are donated by 4th grade families or by local businesses. Throughout the evening, tickets to participate in the cake walk can be purchased at the Cake Walk table. The kids walk around the circle of chairs until the music stops. A random number is picked, and the kid that is at that chair wins their choice of cake.

    VOLUNTEERS: We need volunteers to help at the Cake Walk table to take money, hand tickets out to the kids, and hand out the cakes to the winners
