All volunteers are required to obtain clearance through our district process every school year. Contact the AHES office if you have any issues with the Volunteer Application link. Please ensure that you have pre-arranged volunteer times with the teacher or coordinator of the activity before arriving on campus.

• Volunteers who work less than five hours per week must complete the required Keenan Trainings.

• Volunteers who work five hours or more per week must complete the required Keenan Trainings, a TB test, and obtain a fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigations. Volunteers are responsible for all associated costs.

Directions for Volunteer Application

Using a desktop or laptop computer you'll access the application link. There will be a few training videos and a quiz. Once those are completed you'll go back to the link and complete all steps, including uploading your quiz and license on step #5, then finishing with step #8. Once these steps are done, your completed application will go to our district office. From here it takes about 5-7 days to come up in our system as cleared. Please reach out to Kim Otellio at the front office (kotellio@orangeusd.org) after the 5-7 days to verify that you're cleared, as she doesn’t get an email confirmation when people are cleared.
